Heat Recovery Systems

All diesel engines emit high temperature (250- 520 °C) gases in the atmosphere. While this heat from the exhaust is usually wasted, it can be used to generate hot water, steam and for heating and cooling processes.

Cummins supplies custom-designed Heat Recovery systems that utilize upto 60% of this waste heat.

The HRUs improve efficiency of the entire system and reduce energy and maintenance costs. The payback period is attractive and there is 100% depreciation in the first year for an HRU.
